Delete your Grip VPN account

You can delete your Grip VPN account and the personal data linked to it at any time. Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.

How to delete your account

On the web

Sign in at panel.gripvpn.com/logga-in.
Go to My account → Security & 2FA → Delete account (direct link: panel.gripvpn.com/konto/radera).
Enter your password (and the code from your authenticator app if two-factor authentication is on), type RADERA and confirm.

In the app

If your version of the Grip VPN app has the feature, you will find it under Account → Delete account. The app asks for your password before the account is deleted.

Can't sign in?

Email info@netec.se from the email address registered on the account and ask us to delete it. We may need to confirm that the account is yours first. We delete the account within one month, usually much sooner.

What is deleted

your email address, your password (hash) and your two-factor authentication key
your subscription, including any remaining time
all your devices and their public WireGuard keys. They are removed from every VPN server immediately, so no connections work any more
all signed-in apps (sessions), TV sign-in codes and password reset links
copies of emails we have sent you that are stored on our server

In the event log your email address is replaced by a random code. The log is deleted automatically after 90 days, except payment and refund events, which are kept as bookkeeping records as long as the orders (without your email address).

What we keep, and for how long

The Swedish Bookkeeping Act requires us to keep purchase records for 7 years after the end of the calendar year in which the financial year ended. For paid or refunded purchases we therefore keep only the order number, product, amount, any discount code and discount amount, currency, dates, status and the Stripe payment reference. For hardware purchases we also keep the shipping country. This data is linked to a random code instead of to you. Name, address, phone number and tracking number are deleted. Orders that were never paid are deleted completely.

Stripe, which handles payments, keeps its own payment records under its terms.

Deleted data may remain in our backups (accessible to root only) for at most 14 days before being overwritten.

Unused accounts

If an account has no active subscription and nobody has signed in for 24 months, it is deleted automatically. We send an email 30 days before. If you sign in before then, the account is kept.
